Nadia Nakia hints at new musical collab with late partner, AKA

Rapper Nadia Nakai says fans can soon expect a tribute album to her late boyfriend and musical collaborator, rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

In the heat of their whirlwind romance, AKA was gunned down outside a Durban restaurant in February of this year.

Months later, the “Bragga” hitmaker says music continues to help her heal from the ordeal.

She added that the pain of losing a loved one forced her to tap into a more spiritual side of her music:

She’s also urged her hip-hop fans to brace themselves for an all-new sound.

The rapper, who recently joined forces with Ziiki Media SA, says she’s exploring Afro Tech and other house fusion genres in her upcoming projects.

She says fans can also expect some never heard before tracks, including a collaboration with her late boyfriend, rapper AKA.
