South African hip hop artist, NastyC, says fatherhood has reawakened his love for music and artistic expression.

The “Juice-Back” hitmaker made the remarks during an exclusive press conference on the South African Hip-Hop history hosted alongside fellow industry giant, Cassper Nyovest.

The 26-year-old rapper and his long term girlfriend, Sammie Heavens, recently welcomed their first child.

Nasty C, real name David Junior Ngcobo, says this new journey has also added a new element to his life as he needed something different.

In July, the rapper took to the streets of social media confirming some fans suspicions about the pregnancy.

He shared a sonogram of the unborn child as well as a heartfelt image of Heaven’s caressing her growing belly.

It’s understood the couple met in high school before becoming life-long sweethearts.

Yesterday, music fans gathered at the South African Hip-Hop museum, to attend an exclusive music conference courtesy of Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest.

The duo is on a tour dubbed, the African Throne, performing in countries including Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, and Kenya.

The gathering is also aimed at celebrating 50 years of South African Hip Hop.

The rapper says they decided to take their music to rest of the continent to give a personal touch to their fans. Article by Naomi Kobbie
