Marumo Gallants has announced Pitso Dladla as their new head coach for the upcoming 2023/24 Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Bahlabane ba ntwa parted ways with Raymond Mdaka and Dylan Kerr following the club’s automatic relegation into the first division league.
Gallants’ hopes of promotion lies in Dladla’s hands as he is known for promoting teams with his latest team being Richards Bay FC in the DStv Premiership.
Dladla says he’s looking forward to the task at hand. He says he is taking applying some of the things he learnt from the DStv Premiership.
Marumo Gallants Chairman, Abraham Sello, on the other hand announced a surprise appointment in Sinky Mnisi as the club’s new CEO and 14 new signings for the club to be at coach Dladla’s disposal as he undertakes this challenge of leading the club back into the DStv Premiership.
The chairman further explained Dladla’s appointment, saying that he fitted the profile of the kind of coach they were looking for.
Gallants are in a league where they face a prospect of matches not being televised, poor officiating and financial constrains as they will receive a fraction of the grant they used to receive in the DStv Premiership.
But chairman Sello isn’t fazed, saying finances have never been a problem in the club.
Marumo Gallants has relocated to Gauteng following their stint in the Limpopo province. The club will play their home games at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein, Free State, with their alternative being Vaal University of Technology Stadium.
Chairman Sello says they want to take Gallants to the people.
The road to promotion will start next week Saturday, with Gallants opening their Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign against Casric Stars. Article by Kamogelo Mogale
