Broos to name final squad to face Morocco

Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos, will announce his final squad for this month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against FIFA World Cup semi-finalists Morocco on Thursday, 8 June 2023.

Bafana, who have already achieved qualification for the AFCON finals in Ivory Coast next year, take on the Atlas Lions on Saturday 17 June 2023 at the 2010 FIFA World Cup arena, the FNB Stadium.

The match will get underway at 17h00.

Broos announced a preliminary 34-member squad last month and will trim it to 23 players on Thursday.

Meanwhile, tickets for the South Africa versus Morocco game went on sale last Thursday, 1 June 2023 with fans given an opportunity to purchase tickets at as low as R20.

The promotion will end on Wednesday (7 June 2023) and thereafter, the price of the tickets will revert back to R50 all round. Article by Ntsako Mkhari
