#JusticeforAKA trends as the rapper’s fans mark three months since his passing

Fans of one of South Africa’s leading rappers, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, have taken to social media demanding justice for the slain musician.

The call marks three months since AKA was killed in cold blood together with his friend, chef and entrepreneur Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The two were shot dead outside a restaurant in Durban while walking to their car.

Despite Police Minister Bheki Cele’s assertions in late February and early March that they had made significant progress in their investigation into the murder, no arrests have been made.

A sore point for some of the rapper and songwriter’s fans, who suspect a cover-up.
