Top Gear is back on BBC Brit (DStv ch. 120) from 15 April at 8pm and its utter carnage!  In their fourth series at the wheel of Top Gear, Freddie Flintoff, Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness, hit the road again in a series of challenges designed to push them and their cars to the limit.

From a sparks-flying Titanium-shoed Freddie Flintoff being dragged along a Scottish runway by The Stig in an Ariel Nomad to a nostalgic and emotional drive down memory lane through the Lake District in their Dads’ cars – the trio’s fourth series together has something for everyone.

Series highlights see the trio tackling the thorny issue of ‘mid-life crisis’ cars and heading to the Scottish Highlands on a punishing off-road adventure.

The upcoming season also sees the Top Gear team up with the 007 franchise to pay tribute to some of the iconic movie series’ best loved – and less well known – cars. Paddy, Freddie and Chris get to live out their boyhood fantasies in a smorgasbord of 007 automobiles including the classic Aston Martin DB5 first seen in Goldfinger and the decapitated Renault 11 Parisienne taxi Roger Moore famously piloted in A View To A Kill.

Chris Harris, a total  Bond obsessive had this to say on the Bond cars segment, ‘’I love the cars and I watch the filmsalmost religiously with my kids because they’re one of the ultimate viewing experiences. Bond manages to do what we’re  trying to achieve with Top Gear –producing content you can sit and watch with  little  people where both age groups feel they’re getting  something they  want  to  watch.   So, to get access to the back catalogue of Bond cars was amazing and I love the fact that we feature some of the cars you’d forgotten about.  And, of course, we dressed up as some Bondcharacters, which should keep people amused.

Petrolheads will be savouring Freddie’s race in the battery-powered off-road Extreme E against a Jetpack man plus reviews of the new Lamborghini Sian, the Toyota GR Yaris and the Ferrari Roma.

‘’This series has been more fun than ever before,’’ said Freddie Flintoff!

Watch the latest season on BBC Brit (DStv channel 120), from Thursday, 15 April at 8pm.
