All You Need To Know About Music’s Digital Sangoma

Digital Sangoma is an independent Electronic Music Producer and Performer from Cape Town, South Africa.

As a qualified Sound Engineer and Electronic Music Programmer (after studying at Cape Audio College), he has managed to compose and produce his own music and that has led him to establish his own sound.

A fusion of Kwaito, House, Afrobeats and expressive vocals, with an undertone of electronic synths is what Digital Sangoma is about. An aggressive and sometimes soulful vocal performance.

Says Digital Sangoma: “Its Dance music, it’s not about making sense, but making you dance”.

Digital Sangoma is the alias of Mandisi Mafu, a South African Afro Electro music producer, recording artist and performer. His sound bridges the divide between the traditional and contemporary, described as African Dance Music. It features elements of chanting, soulful vocals, traditional isiXhosa rhythms fused with West African melodies set over evocative drums mingled with organic, African sounds and instruments.
