The popular eatery, Buns Out, has indefinitely closed down after owner, Maps Maponyane, made the difficult decision amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
Buns out joins a list of many SMEs and larger businesses announcing their shutdowns in efforts to tackle the Coronavirus outbreak and abide by the new laws around it.
The entrepreneur announced the shut down on his social media, upsetting Twitter followers and fans of the burger joint.
After trying to stretch out any kind of production including deliveries, in order to still keep our staff employed & customers happy, we've decided to indefinitely close Buns Out. We don't know how long it will be or if we'll survive this period, but it's the right thing to do…

Mr Buns Out states that everyone’s safety remains a priority, and that we need to stay home and be considerate of each other.
It's tough as a new small business, bt at the end of the day we need to keep everyone safe, & staying operating in any kind of way would completely go against this.
Wash your hands often, stay safe & if in any way possible, Stay Home. Pls be considerate & take care of each other.— Buns Out/Abuti Buns/Mr.Buns/Bhanisa/Le Bunza (@MapsMaponyane) March 23, 2020
