Covid-19 cases in South Africa increase to 402 | GP records highest number

The Health Ministry has confirmed that the number of Covid-19 cases in South Africa has increased to 402.

This is an increase of 128 cases from Sunday’s announcement.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize revealed in a statement that the Northern Cape recorded its first case of the novel coronavirus.

This means that the virus has now spread to all nine provinces in the country.

To date Gauteng has the highest number of positive cases – sitting at 207 followed by the Western Cape with 100.

 

 

President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to address the nation on the impact of Covid-19 on Monday night.
