Bongo Maffin stop by and reminisce with The Best Drive

The Best Drive hung out with one of South Africa’s greatest groups, Bongo Maffin.

Thandiswa Mazwai, Speedy, Stoan, Jah Seed better known as Bongo Maffin, have been in the music scene for more than 20 years. The very first song to play on YFM was the groups’ ‘Makeba’. Two decades later the group is still releasing new music!

The group gave DJ Sabby and Tshepi some insight into their relationship with YFM. Stoan reffered to YFM as a culture. Jah Seed said,

“YFM is like really the heartbeat of the current entertainment scene.”

Bongo Maffin’s new album, From Bongo with Love, releases Friday 29^th November.
