GP’s hottest presents the #Y21 Birthday Party, an experiential jump-off!

On the 27th of October, YFM will celebrate its 21st birthday, with the support of Telkom, at The Canvas, Riversands in Fourways, Johannesburg. The event is set to be a sensational one, recognizing both YFM radio legends as well as celebrating current talent curating the future of the music scene.

YFM promises a stage of the best live acts with AKA, Kwesta, Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick, Nasty-C, Mafikizolo, Lady Zamar, Boom Shaka, Sho Madjozi, and Team Mosha on the all-star lineup.

At #Y21, audiences will witness YFM’s own YTKO DJ’s: Da Kruk, DJ Candii, DJ Zan-D, DJ Zai Maya and Lebza the Villain make magic on the decks as they collaborate with a live band, and with each other, for the very first time. The rest of the DJ line-up comprises of Just Mo, Josi Chave, DJ Zero, Mellotik, Da Capo, MFR Souls, with a selection of YFM alumni, including Mo Flava, Ayanda MVP, DJ Speedsta, Oskido, DJ Fresh, DJ Sbu, Shimza, C-Live, Mac G, Ms Cosmo and DJ Jawz on the decks.

The event will be hosted by MCs from YFM, including DJ Ankletap, DJ Sabby, Khutso Theledi, Nia Brown and Carissa Cupido: the current breed of talented on air DJs who continue to represent, lead and entertain our listeners daily.

Since 1997, YFM has been the biggest voice of and for the youth. South African music has always been an integral part of the station’s voice and this will once again come to light at the event with its banging line-up of artists and DJs.
