The Daily Show Host, Trevor Noah is in the spirit of giving, and is giving away 50 laptops.

The comedian, who has been recording his show from his home in New York due to the Covid-19 pandemic, announced on his Instagram that he would be gifting 50 teachers with brand-new laptops.

The impact of COVID-19 has taken its toll on the education system, requiring teachers and students to effectively ‘be at school’ from their homes. For some, owning a laptop or having access to the internet remains a luxury.

Noah took it to Instagram and wrote:

“TEACHERS who are forced to do all your work online!! I’ve got 50 more Surface Laptops to give away to any educators who need a new device. Please tag your favourite teachers below and I’ll pick 50 at random.”

The post received unprecedented attention and Noah says there have been nearly half a million entries.
