American rapper, Nicki Minaj, has dismissed criticism over her support for President Donald Trump, saying the backlash has only strengthened her backing of him.
Minaj made the remarks while speaking at the Treasury Department’s Trump Accounts Summit in Washington on Wednesday night.

The Trinidad and Tobago‑born artist was among several prominent figures attending the event, which promotes the “Trump Accounts” initiative – a programme that provides trust funds for children.
She addressed delegates shortly after President Trump referred to her as the “greatest rapper of all time.”

Minaj has faced growing criticism for her outspoken support of Trump, particularly from fans within the LGBTQ+ community.
Last week, she also sparked controversy after using a homophobic slur while attacking former CNN anchor Don Lemon over his coverage of a protest in Minnesota that disrupted a church service. Lemon responded by questioning her citizenship status and suggesting she should be deported.

Despite the backlash, Minaj expressed unwavering support for the president, describing herself as his biggest fan.
The 43‑year‑old surprised some followers by declaring herself Trump’s “number one fan” and displaying a Trump gold card visa, which offers holders US residency and a pathway to citizenship.

According to the programme’s official website, the visa is available to applicants who can demonstrate they will make a “substantial benefit” contribution to the United States.
Reaction on social media has been divided, with some users accusing Minaj of supporting Trump for personal gain, while others have defended her, dismissing the criticism as unwarranted.
