Several Emmy Award winners used the prestigious ceremony to speak out against Israel’s war in Gaza and to criticize US President Donald Trump.
Hacks star, Hannah Einbinder, who won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy, called for Palestinian freedom during her acceptance speech.
Speaking to the media after the event, she said it’s her duty as a Jewish person to separate Jewish identity from the actions of the Israeli state.
Since October 2023, at least 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza.

Golden Globe Award winner, Javier Bardem, who recently pledged to boycott Israeli film institutions, emphasised the importance of taking a united stance.
Speaking on the Emmys red carpet, the 56-year-old said he refuses to support anyone backing the conflict in Gaza.
“The world has changed, and what we are witnessing is a genocide in 4K, alive on a daily basis. This has to stop.”
Bardem, along with more than 1,200 Hollywood actors, directors, and film workers under the banner Film Workers for Palestine, has accused Israeli institutions of complicity in what they describe as genocide and apartheid against Palestinians.
The pledge has also been signed by actors including Ayo Edebiri, Olivia Colman, Mark Ruffalo, and Tilda Swinton.
This represents the latest initiative by artists as the war in Gaza escalates, despite repeated appeals from world leaders to safeguard civilian lives.
At least 50 people were killed today, as Israel continued with its bombardment of Gaza City.
