Proteas fast bowler, Kagiso Rabada, has been cleared to return to competition after serving an anti-doping ban.
Rabada tested positive for a recreational drug during the SA20 tournament, which was held in South Africa in February.
He returned home from the Indian Premier League tournament in early April, having received a one-month suspension.
In a statement released on Monday, the South African Institute for Drug free Sport revealed that Rabada was now allowed to return to action for the Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL tournament.
We forgive Kagiso Rabada fully and wholeheartedly. He’s made an innocent mistake. We humbly ask the media not to build mansions and make a meal out of this unfortunate incident. It has happened. It’s done. Let’s move on. Please. Thank you. 👍🏽
