Musician, Naledi Aphiwe, has come under fire, once again, and has been labelled an attention seeker after accusing rapper Fifi Cooper of stealing her iPhone 16.

Without mentioning any names directly, Aphiwe claimed she had her phone with her until a “certain” celebrity entered the bathroom where they had been taking pictures.

She implied that the celebrity abruptly left the event following the disappearance of the phone.

“When we tracked the phone, it showed it was still at the venue seven minutes ago. Later, when we checked again after arriving home, it was in Alexandra,” Aphiwe said in a video.

Fifi Cooper has since clapped back, calling the 18-year-old a liar.

“First of all, I’m not your age. I’ve been in this industry for more than 18 years. You’re not going to accuse me of something you have no proof of,” Cooper said.

“I feel like you’re being extremely disrespectful. I don’t even know you that well.”

She also denied Aphiwe’s claims that she left the venue immediately after the alleged incident.

“I went back inside the venue. I never left, by the way. I was one of the last people to leave—I stayed until the very end,” Fifi added.

The controversy is not Aphiwe’s first public spat with fellow artists.

Earlier this year, she made headlines during the Mthandeni’s Summer Experience event in KwaZulu-Natal, when she ran onto the stage during Maskandi artist Gatsheni’s performance. The crowd reacted strongly, throwing objects, including cans and bottles, before she was quickly escorted off stage. Written by Lindiwe Mpanza
