Bafana Bafana have taken a giant leap in qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
They beat Benin to open up a five point gap at the top of Group C.
Bafana Bafana started the match with most of the initiative, while Benin were happy to sit back.
Despite being dominant Hugo Broosβ side failed to make the use of their dominance and the match went to the break at 0-0.
The second half kicked off with both sides looking to put something on the scoreboard.
Bafana finally broke the deadlock on the 53rd minute after Fawaz Basadien played a low cross to Lyle Foster who made no mistake to make it 1-0.
Broos made changes which immediately made an impact after Oswin Appollis played a free-kick into the box and found Jaydan Adams who made no mistake to make it 2-0.

The result saw Bafana move to 13 points from six games, they go a step closer to qualifying for the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
