Cape Town City have parted ways with interim coach, Muhsin Ertugral.
Ertugral was initially appointed as technical director and interim coach in January after Eric Tinkler, who’s now at Sekhukhune United, was sacked.
The Turk’s tenure started on a high with victories over both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. His lucky streak continued with him even winning the PSL Coach of the Month in January.
But results have been disappointing of late, with City failing to win in their last 10 games. They lost 1-0 to Marumo Gallants on Saturday.
They are currently 13th on the Betway Premiership table, having played 23 games.
“After technical discussions, the club and Muhsin Ertugral have agreed mutually to part ways,” the club said on their announcement post.
“The decision comes as a collective in the best interest of the club as we look to end the 24/25 season as strong as possible.
“We thank Muhsin for his professional and earnest contribution.”
