The Bulls have provided an update on the injuries of their club captains, Ruan Nortje, and Elrigh Louw, as well as first-choice fly-half, Johan Goosen.

Springboks lock, Nortje, sustained a knee ligament injury in the first half of the Bulls clash United Rugby Championship clash with the Lions in Johannesburg on the 25th of January.

The 26-year-old Springbok has already begun his non-invasive rehabilitation programme, which is expected to last eight to 10 weeks.

The big concern, however, will be around Louw who is still awaiting a second surgery for a long-term injury sustained in the second half of the same derby against the Lions.

Swelling around the affected area has delayed the operation, which is now scheduled within the next two weeks. His recovery timeline will only be determined after the procedure.

The Bulls have expressed their support for all three players as they work towards full rehabilitation, with no further updates expected as they focus on their recovery programmes. Written by Ntsako Mkhari
