Orlando Pirates wingback, Deon Hotto, has echoed the sentiments of his teammates and other football personalities, who have praised the special talent of Bafana Bafana international, Relebohile Mofokeng.
The 20-year-old has grown in stature over the past two seasons and has played a prominent role in helping Pirates win their CAF Champions League group and qualify for the last eight of Africa’s premier club competition.
Hotto waxxed lyrical when asked about the Vaal-native’s evolution.
“It’s amazing what the boy is actually doing, from last season until today. It’s just – I don’t know man, the boy is just too much man,” said Hotto ahead of Saturday’s Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs.
“For him, I won’t say the sky is the limit, but he’s just a marvellous player, to be honest – hayi, eish, I don’t have words for him man. He’s just good man, he’s good.”
With a direct involvement in almost 20 goals in 28 appearances, so far, this season – there’s no arguing the special talent Mofokeng is. But, for Hotto, it’s also the youngster’s respect that makes him special.
“And the good thing about him is that he listens to his senior players – that’s one good thing, and he’s definitely going to go far with [that attitude],” he added.
“When you always listen to what your elders are saying, you will definitely go far. He’s also very disciplined, and he’s grounded.”
