Social media users are calling for the all the key players that overlooked Kelaia Turner’s cries over the alleged bullying she experienced at the hands of her peers to face the full might of the law.
Turner’s family is suing Greenville County School District over the “vile” behaviour the 14-year-old was subjected to by her bullies when she was 11.
The learners continued their deplorable act even when Turner was defenseless in a coma after she had attempted to suicide.
Some of the learners at the eye of the storm allegedly visited the young girl while she was unconscious and took pictures of her. They later posted them on social media to mock her.
In a bid to get justice, her mother Ty, has sued the school for negligence.
She wants them held to account for allegedly not stopping the bullying behaviour that eventually led to her daughter attempting to take her own life.
According to Turner’s family, the then 11-year-old’s torment started off verbally and later became violent. It was apparently not only ignored but was also allegedly enabled by some teachers for over a year.
Her mother, Ty, says she also tried several times to get the school to take action, but she rarely got any response.
She says her daughter was targeted after she started wearing her natural hair to school.
Some of the learners would allegedly make fun of her, saying she looked like a man.
They also called her a roach.
According to court papers, the 14-year-old Turner currently has no control over her body, is nonverbal and requires around the clock care.
Her mother recently opened a GoFundMe page, appealing for financial assistance to get her daughter a wheelchair-accessible van and home care.

Some social media users are livid over the story and say the adults who are involved in this tragedy should also be held to account.
If you are the parent of a child who was in anyway connected to this… you have failed. You have raised morally broken children. I pray for their future Shame. On. You

Bullying is still a big problem in schools. Parents are easily misleading by “anti-bullying programs” or “inclusion initiatives.” These things are nothing more than legal defenses for the school. “We take the issue very seriously. See? Look at these pamphlets.”
Success should be…
