New Springbok star, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, has been ruled out of the squad for the foreseeable future as he is set to have knee surgery.
The 22-year-old has had a dream year, which has seen him burst onto the international scene this season with the Boks, where he’s produced match winning performances for the reigning world champions. But he will have to miss out on the one-match trip to Argentina for the Rugby Championship this weekend due to injury.
“Sacha will only be ready for the end-of-year tour,” said coach, Rassie Erasmus, when he was asked on the utility-back’s absence.
“He injured his knee before the first Test against the All Blacks and he played in that game. The next week on the Wednesday, I asked him why he was limping and he said he injured his knee last week. I wanted to pull him out of that team because he was limping, on the field even.”

“He is having the operation now. I’m not sure exactly what is wrong with the knee, but he will only be ready in four and a half weeks.”
The Boks will have to count on Handre Pollard and Mannie Libbok in the number 10 jersey, while Damian Willemse is also set to make his return to the national team.
