Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung, is calling for the club’s supporters to be patient with new head coach, Nasreddine Nabi.
Chiefs officially announced the arrival of the former Young Africans and AS FAR Rabat coach last night, ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Nabi arrives at Chiefs to much fanfare after relative success at the Tanzanian and Moroccan clubs. At Yanga, he won the league twice as well as the FA Cup – whereas at Rabat he led the side to a second-place finish in the league as well as the FA Cup final.
We are delighted to welcome Coach Nasreddine Nabi to the Kaizer Chiefs family. We are happy to have you with us, Coach.

Motaung is also cautiously optimistic ahead of the new season under the Tunisian, saying she believes that they have the right man to lead the Amakhosi back to glory.
“I believe that we’ve done all the work to make sure that we have the right team, the right coach, to make sure that we take Kaizer Chiefs to the next level and we’re looking forward to his work and the work of the team that he’s assembled,” she said.

Motaung is also well aware that the team may need some time to settle under their new mentor.
“The message to the fans is that we’re collectively together to build a foundation for collective success and you can see the work that’s been done from the beginning. It’s not about hitting the ground running, but about doing the work right and making sure we build continued success.”
Nabi’s first official match in South Africa will be on July 28, when Chiefs host Yanga at the Toyota Stadium in the inaugural Toyota Cup in Bloemfontein.
