The Gauteng Department of Health has come out guns blazing to rebuke the video of monkeys bathing, allegedly at Jubilee District Hospital.
The department has dismissed the news as fake.
This after a video of the 4 monkeys cooling off from the morning heat inside black water tankers, has been doing the rounds on social media.

The Department has urged members of the public to refrain from spreading false information about its facilities.

Warning that those who are caught doing so, will face prosecution.

The Department says none of its provincial facilities use black water tankers.

Head of Communication, Motalatale Modiba, says spreading fake and unverified content.

According to the Department, this is not the first time this video has been shared.
Earlier this year, in April an individual shared the video and insinuated that monkey’s were swimming at the water tankers at the Helen Joseph Hospital.
At the time the video was being shared, the hospital was experiencing water supply shortages.
The Department has urged the public to refrain from sharing information that could cause panic among patients and their family members.
Members of the public have encouraged to report pages that spread false information about the Department and encouraged to get reliable information from their verified pages.
