Tickets for tomorrow’s Nedbank Cup Soweto Derby semi-final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium are sold out.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) made the announcement this morning, saying that all tickets for South Africa’s most popular sporting event have been snapped up.

Gates will open at 11am for the 3pm kick-off and fans are encouraged to arrive early.

Several routes will be closed as over 80 000 spectators will make their way to Soccer City for the sold-out match.

Motorists are encouraged to use the N1, M1 and N12 highways as well as the Main Reef, Aerodome, and Adcock Ingram roads to avoid traffic congestion.

The two teams have met in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup on three separate occasions with Kaizer Chiefs leading the head-to-head count 3-1.

Pirates go into the fixture as the team in form while Chiefs will have a point to prove following their 2-1 loss to Swallows FC on Tuesday in the DStv Premiership.

The second semi-final will see Stellenbosch FC host Sekhukhune United at the Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The winners of the respective semis will meet in the final at Loftus Versveld on May 27.
