Below are the standard terms and conditions applicable to the Beefeater Clock Into The Spirit of London Competition on-air and digital promotion in association with YFM (“Promoter”).

  1. The Beefeater competition runs on YFM from the 2 December 2022 to end 23 December 2022.
  2. Promotions and activities associated with the Promotion will flight on air for the duration of the campaign period and will promote the encouragement of the audience and the greater listernership of the station to Tune in to YFM on Friday’s between 4pm-8pm, where YFM will post engagement posts on their platform to encourage entries. The only valid hashtags for entry are #BeefeaterGinZA #ClockIntoTheSpiritOfLondon, collectively, in no particular order.
  3. No person may enter the same or any other competition hosted partly or in whole by YFM within 60 days of winning the same or any other competition hosted partly or in whole by YFM.
  4. On condition the Entrant complies with the Promotion Terms and Conditions and except in so far as is provided for in the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, as amended from time to time, the Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Entrants and/or the Winner will not be entitled to claim any royalties or any intellectual property rights from the Promoter.
  6. The Promoter may (i) refuse to award a Prize to a Winner if there is suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities concerning, but not limited to, the process, publication and/or presentation of the price; (ii) alternatively terminate the entire Promotion.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to request, which the Entrants have the right to decline, that images and/or videos taken of the Entrants be used for promotional and publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without any further remuneration being made payable to the Winner.
  8. The Winners fully agree that they shall not directly or indirectly share any content, information or material in relation to the collection, use, benefit or enjoyment of the Prizes on any platform, without obtaining prior authorization from the Promoter.
  9. No director of Yired (Pty) Ltd, employee at YFM and/or their agencies, and members of their immediate family; nor members of Pernod Ricard SA enter this competition on YFM.
  10. Prizes are not transferable and are not negotiable.
  11. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above rules will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressor.
  12. The Promotion is open only to all residents of South Africa who are above the age of 18 (eighteen), are in possession of a valid identity document (confirming residency) and a valid passport .
  13. By participating in any competition hosted partly or in whole by YFM, where entry is on-line, participants further agree to be bound by our (Hyperlink) Internet Terms & Conditions.
  14. YFM will ensure that they obtain the winner’s consent in order to give RAPT Creative, or any other 3rd Parties, the winner’s entry information and any other relevant information, as required by law.
  15. Entrants stand the chance to win the Grand prize of a Beefeater Gin Tasting experience with 3 friends at one of the Beefeater outlets, valued at R10 000,00(Ten thousand South African Rands only).
  16. The secondary prize offered shall be a weekly 1 of 4 prize of Beefeater Botanical Botanical Infusion Teabag Pack (VAP) with infused flavoured teabag.
  17. Grand Prizes will be awarded by means of a randomized computerized draw, to be held at the YFM studios, no later than 25 December 2022.
  18. The Grand Prize package includes entry for winners plus three guest to the Beefeater outlet, plus complimentary food & drinks.
  19. YFM will ensure that the winners of the weekly prizes (VAP’s) are attained by the winner.
  20. The Entrant must be available to travel to the location of the Prize, as and when required by these Terms and Conditions.
  21. The winner will be liable for any transport to the Beefeater outlet or accommodation.
  22. To the extent allowed by law, these Promotion Terms and Conditions set out the whole understanding and agreement between the Entrant and the Promoter in regard to the subject matter hereof and there are no other agreements, guarantees or representations, either verbal or in writing, unless stipulated otherwise by the Promoter, in regard thereto upon which the Entrant shall rely on in concluding this Agreement and the Promoter shall not be bound by any express or implied term, representation, warranty, promise or the like not recorded herein. This clause constitutes an acknowledgment of fact by the Entrant. The Entrant warrants that he has read the above clause carefully and ensures that this statement is true and correct as this will limit the Entrant’s rights to claim that these statements are not true and correct.
  23. By entering the Promotion, the Entrant agrees to receive communications from the Promoter before, during and/or after the Promotion and their affiliates, and shall be afforded the opportunity of unsubscribing from receiving such communications from the Promoter or its affiliates.
  24. To the extent allowed by law, the Entrant hereby indemnifies and holds the Promoter free from liability for loss or damage of whatever nature and howsoever arising from the Entrant’s Participation and/or the Entrant’s failure to comply with any provision and/or obligation under these Promotion Terms and Conditions. This clause constitutes an assumption of risk and/or liability by the Entrant under which the Entrant indemnifies the Promoter against certain liabilities and that of which, may result in the Entrant being liable for additional costs and liabilities.
  25. To the extent allowed by law, the Entrant agrees that the Promoter shall not be liable to him or any other person or entity whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage:
    1. caused by or arising from any fact or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
    2. which is consequential or incidental loss or damage;
    3. of whatever nature and howsoever arising from or in connection with the Entrant’s Participation and/or acceptance of the Prize;
    4. of whatever nature and howsoever rising out of the enjoyment of the Prize by the Entrant and/or any third party in relation;
    5. arising from any disclosure or use of any information, or lack thereof, the Entrant provides to the Promoter, whether such disclosure is in accordance with the provisions of these Promotion Terms and Conditions or otherwise; and/or
    6. arising from a breach of any security system which may be implemented by the Promoter and/or any service provider to the Promoter.
  26. For purposes of convenience, should a conflict, discrepancy or inconsistency arise between any provision of these Terms and Conditions and any other agreement, work order or other form used by the parties in the execution the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
  27. The Promoter does not make any representation or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, with regards to any Prize and, in particular, without limitation, makes no representations and gives no warranty that any Prize or any aspect of it, will –
    1. meet the Participant’s requirements, preferences, standards, or expectations; or
    2. be satisfactory and readily available for collection.
  28. The parties (including, but not limited to the Entrants, Radio Station, Promoter and Winner) hereby consent to the jurisdiction of the South African legal system in respect of any proceedings arising from this Agreement and/or the Promotion.
