VodaPay Summer of Champs.

1. Vodacom (Pty) Ltd and Vodacom Payment Services (Pty) Ltd (“Vodacom”) is giving you the opportunity to enter the “VodaPay Summer of Champs” (the “Competition”) whereby you stand a chance to win R5 000 or R10 000 if you take your winnings as a deposit in your VodaPay Wallet.

2. By entering this Competition you hereby consent to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and to receive advertising and promotions from third parties affiliated to Vodacom.

3. Duration
   • The Competition is open for entries from The Competition starts at 00:00 on 9 November 2022 and ends at 23:59 on 16 December 2022 (the “End Date” and the competition period will be referred to as the “Competition Period”).
   • The duration of the Competition may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom.

4. Eligibility
   • You will only be eligible to enter the Competition if you:
     • are a natural person that is 18 years or older;
     • enter the Competition during the Competition Period;
     • have consented to these Terms and Conditions; and
     • permanently reside in the Republic of South Africa with a South African identity number or valid passport number
     • be 18 years or older; and have a South African mobile number

5. Valid Entry
   • In order to stand a chance of winning, you must: Upload a picture of what you are getting up to this summer on Twitter and Facebook.
   • Post it on Twitter or Facebook with the correct station appropriate hashtag (#YFMUnlockYourSummer) and tag the station and Vodacom on the platform.
   • You may enter more than once however you may only win once.

6. Prize and Prize draw
   • One person stands the chance to win a prize of R5 000 or R10 000 weekly on the station.
   • The winner will be taken to air. They will offered R5 000 cash or R10 000 if they agree to be paid in their VodaPay wallet.
   • The winner may be required to provide proof of their VodaPay wallet.

7. General
   • We are the promoter of the Competition. Any reference to we/us/our includes our directors, sponsors, agents or consultants, where the context allows for it.
   • You cannot participate in the Competition if:
   • you are a director, employee, agent or consultant of YFM or Vodacom; or
   • you are an immediate family member of any of the persons specified in clause 7.3; or
   • you are a supplier of any goods or services under the Competition.
   • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
   • These Terms and Conditions apply to the Competition and all information relating to the Competition (including any promotional or advertising material that is published).
   • By entering the Competition, you are bound by these Terms and Conditions.
   • We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.
   • We must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a Prize winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Competition.
   • The Prize winners will be chosen by the station and will be contacted by the station.
   • Once the Prize winner accepts the Prize, it will be paid into their bank account.
   • Or if they have elected to take double their winnings they will take their payment via their VodaPay wallet.
   • We may declare the Prize forfeited (lost) and we may choose a new Prize winner, if:
     • a Prize winner’s entry is not valid.
     • a Prize winner has breached these Terms and Conditions.
     • a Prize winner cannot be contacted or does not accept the Prize within 3 days from the date that the Prize winner was contacted about the Prize.
     • a Prize winner gives up the Prize or we determine that the Prize winner has given up the Prize.
     • A Prize winner cannot prove their registration on VodaPay or Vodacom cannot verify the identity number shared.
     • If there is a dispute in respect of these Terms and Conditions or the Competition, our decision is final and binding.
     • If the Prize winner agrees to it, we may publish their name and/or photo in any internal or external advertising or promotional material for 12 months from the date on which the Prize winner accepts the Prize. We will determine the nature and distribution of these materials. If a Prize winner does not consent to the publication of their name and/or photo, the Prize winner will still receive the Prize.
   • The Prize may not be transferred from you to any other person and may not be exchanged by you for any other item. We do however reserve the right to substitute the Prize with any other prize of a similar commercial value.
   • We are not responsible if your entry is not successfully submitted or a Prize winner does not successfully receive or take up a Prize for any reason, including a technological failure.
   • We are not responsible for any loss or damage which you or any third party may suffer as a result of you participating in the Competition or accepting a Prize.
   • If required by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, the National Consumer Commission or for any other reason, we can end the Competition immediately with or without notice to you. If this happens, you waive (give up) any rights which you may have against us and you will have no claim against us.
   • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions prevents you from approaching the National Consumer Commission or any other relevant authority to obtain relief.
