RIP Naya Rivera

A body recovered from Lake Piru in the late hours of 13 July 2020 has been said to be the body of Naya Rivera. According to her son, Josey, they jumped into the lake for a swim when his mom boosted him back onto the boat but never got back in.

Experts say she may have experienced a spasm and died due to the fact that she hadn’t been wearing a life vest, she sunk to the bottom of the lake. Naya started her acting career as a child and got her big break when she landed the role of Santana Lopez on the hit series Glee. Her character was groundbreaking for the queer community

Many of South Africa’s favs were caught shook following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement of the alcohol ban… With IMMEDIATE EFFECT!!

Taking it to Instagram, Bonang Matheba commented on Charlize Theron’s picture begging her to save us! Sbahle Mpisanes step mom and reality star, Mam’mkhize caught the smoke and is being blamed for the reimposed ban. CBD Twitter said Mam’mkhize had been attending gatherings during the lockdown and shamelessly posting about it online. It’s a reality show

Kelly Khumalo’s reality show called Life of Kelly Khumalo is set to drop on August 6th! Kelly has described the show as ‘real and unscripted.’ Show producer Legend Manqele, who also produced Bonang Matheba’s Being Bonang, said we can expect a plethora of explosive and confrontational moments. Unfortunately, if you’re not a Showmax subscriber you’ll have to watch it on Twitter!

Cardi, Cardi, Cardi!

Cardi B is catching smoke for discriminatory comments, AGAIN. Cardi jumped right into the hot seat and called Chinese eyes ‘CHINKY’ eyes which is actually considered very offensive towards the Asian community. It’s basically the equivalent of calling a Pakistani or Bangladeshi shop owner ‘bo my friend.’ Cardi hit back saying she didn’t know it was offensive and that she’s been using the word, she added that she didn’t use the word in a bad context.

This wouldn’t be considered her first run as she has made a few homophobic and transphobic comments in the past.
