Thread Count: The Best Drive chat to Zviwa luxury brand designer

The Best Drive invited Thamsanga Tembani, founder and creative director of Zviwa to their fashion feature, called Thread Count.

Since his childhood, Thamsanga Tembani had always wanted to create his own luxury brand. The Zviwa dream became a reality back in 2017. Designed for a global audience, Zviwa is an African inspired luxury brand that offers bespoke and exclusive handmade apparel, handbags, and jewellery. The word Zviwa means a beautiful gift. Zviwa was responsible for many of the outfits worn by the YFM DJs at LYFE 2019. Notably, the design of Lebza da Villain’s suit as well as DJ Sabby’s pink suit.

Zviwa is focused on customised apparel.

“We focus on customised wear mostly, that’s our DNA. So haute couture, you come through and get your stuff customised and you choose exclusive prints that you won’t get anywhere else in South Africa except for Zviwa.” – Thamsanga said.
