EMAMKAY is a South African Record Producer, Emcee and Keyboardist raised between Johannesburg, Soweto and Pretoria.<\/p>\n
His dense sound is often likened to Lo-Fi with Jazz overtones and a touch of Hip Hop.<\/p>\n
EMAMKAY completed a Fundamental Sound Technology certificate at the Academy of Sound Engineering (ASE) and also enrolled at UNISA for an accredited Music Theory Program.<\/p>\n
In 2018, EMAMKAY held a beat production lecture at J&B Hive, teaching the fundamentals of harmony and instrumental programing.<\/p>\n
In 2015 he released his first EP \u2013 \u2018THETA\u2019 with Nokturnal Records. The album was welcomed with great reception and was reviewed and featured on various platforms.<\/p>\n
EMAMKAY paid homage to Electronic music with \u2018ALPHA\u2019. The new-age, experimental record was released with Shimmy Records, A Brighton, England-based label.<\/p>\n
In 2020, he released a Soul and Electronic inspired record, \u2018DELTA\u2019.<\/p>\n
Notably, EMAMKAY\u2019s composition, \u2018Ode\u2019 has been featured in three of Apple Music\u2019s official playlists, namely Alternative R&B, Mood and Pillow Talk.<\/p>\n
