This got the Best Drive thinking about how we could improve sanitation in our own homes. They invited Dr. Khanyile onto their segment: Body goals, for some &#8220;toilet&#8221; advice.<\/p>\n<p>In conversation, the doctore mentions that &#8220;one should always keep sanitation and hygiene top of mind.&#8221; This is important in preventing yourself from being infected with potentially fatal diseases, she adds. Some of these include: cholera; diarrhoea; dysentery hepatitis A and typhoid fever. In 2001 the World Toilet Organisation created world toilet day. According to <a href=\"http:\/\/worldtoiletday.info\">worldtoiletday.info<\/a>, the day was created to:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cinspire action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and help achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, which promises sanitation for all by 2030.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Later in 2013 The United nations recognised it as an official UN day. You can read more about World Toilet Day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldtoiletday.info\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The team asked Dr Khanyile how we could improve our daily visits to the bathroom. She said, \u201cwe all need to take responsibility, because sanitation starts with you.\u201d She continued that when using any bathroom one needs to clean up after themselves and always keep your hands clean.
