Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader, Gayton McKenzie, has appealed for patience as the party finalises its internal investigation into suspended Deputy President, Kenny Kunene<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kunene was suspended nearly two months ago after police found him at the Sandton home of murder-accused Katiso \u201cKT\u201d Molefe, who has been linked to the killings of DJ Sumbody and DJ Vintos.<\/p>\n

Kunene, has denied any wrongdoing, saying he was simply accompanying a journalist from his media company, Africa News Global, and insists he has nothing to hide.<\/p>\n

He also resigned as a councillor in Johannesburg, where he served as MMC for Transport.<\/p>\n

Questions have been mounting over the party\u2019s silence, especially as the 30-day suspension period has since lapsed.<\/p>\n

McKenzie says eyewitnesses have been interviewed as part of the probe, and that the PA will release its findings once the process is complete. He stressed that the party remains committed to transparency and accountability.<\/p>\n\t

    Amid the controversy, political commentator Goodenough Mashego, has reminded South Africans that Kunene first rose to prominence through criminal activities \u2014 arguing that his association with Molefe is not surprising.<\/p>\n

    “He didn\u2019t walk out of a church and go into politics\u2026 he came to the public eye through criminal activities, and to a large extent, it\u2019s difficult \u2014 almost impossible \u2014 to rehabilitate a criminal.
