In one case, a woman was burned alive in her shack, while in another, a disabled man was found drowned in a dam.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1258\">Kutumela is alleged to have colluded with her sister and daughter to defraud multiple financial institutions and insurance companies, including ABSA, Standard Bank, Capitec, Hollard, Assupol, Old Mutual, One Life, and Clientele.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1258\">Her daughter, Madjadji, is being held for allegedly receiving the proceeds of unlawful activities and defeating the ends of justice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1258\">The State opposed bail, arguing that the accused are likely to commit further offences if released on bail adding that the charges are serious and carry lengthy minimum sentences.<\/p>\n<p>They further argued that releasing them would endanger the lives of witnesses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1780\">The matter has been postponed to 4 November for further investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alleged insurance killer cop, Rachel Kutumela, her elder sister, Annah Shokane and her daughter, Madjadji Shokane have been denied bail.
