South African music sensation, Tyla, has scored two nominations at this year\u2019s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old is nominated in the Best Choreography and Best Afrobeats categories for her hit single Push 2 Start, continuing her global rise and spotlighting African music on the world stage.<\/p>\n
Last year, the Grammy Award winner<\/a> made history as the first African artist to be nominated and win a VMA<\/a>.<\/p>\n Leading the pack this year is Lady Gaga with 12 nominations, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Best Album for her 2023 release Mayhem. This marks the third time Gaga tops the nomination list.
