South African Grammy Award-winning music sensation Tyla is breaking boundaries once again, this time as the newly announced host of the Nickelodeon Kids\u2019 Choice Awards.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old becomes the first African ever to host the globally celebrated ceremony. The prestigious awards will take place in Santa Monica, California, on June 25.<\/p>\n

The Johannesburg-born star has also been nominated for Favorite Global Music Star and Favorite Music Collaboration for her hit “Show Me Love,” a collaboration with WizTheMc and the duo bees & honey.<\/p>\n

Among the first-time nominees for this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are Doechii, who won the Best Rap Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, and actress Florence Pugh.<\/p>\n

The \u201cWater\u201d hitmaker, Tyla, is known for setting trends and breaking barriers by blending her South African musical heritage with global pop sounds.<\/p>\n

Some of her notable achievements include winning a Grammy Award for best African music performance in 2024 for \u201cWater\u201d\u00a0and receiving the Impact Award at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music event.<\/p>\n
