Media personality Minenhle \u2018Minnie\u2019 Dlamini,has rejected the apology from controversial Podcast and Chill host Macgyver \u2018MacG\u2019 Mukwevho.<\/p>\n

Dlamini has vowed to forge ahead with her legal action.<\/p>\n

Mukwevho’s attorney’s issued an apology to her and the podcaster addressed the backlash he received in a recent episode of his platform.<\/p>\n

In an episode released yesterday, MacG extended an olive branch to Dlamini, inviting her to join him on the show to resolve their issues.<\/p>\n

“I want to apologise, first and foremost, to all the female chillers, and women in general in SA, I might have offended with that comment. That was not the intention. We never say things to offend people; I want to extend an invite to Minnie Dlamini to the show. You are more than welcome to come. This thing started on the podcast; let’s end it on the podcast. She said some things, I said some things. Let’s squash it once and for all.”<\/p>\n

MacG is apologising to all the women for the comments he made about Minnie Dlamini.<\/p>\n

He has also extended an invite to Minnie to come through to the Podcast And Chill.<\/p>\n

The host of Podcast and Chill made headlines last month after suggesting that the media personality may have hygiene issues, implying that this was why she “can\u2019t keep a man.”<\/p>\n

He has faced ongoing backlash for allegedly perpetuating misogyny and sexual harassment.<\/p>\n

The TV personality says while the podcaster might dismiss his comments as just banter, they were problematic and represented \u201cgrotesque, harmful, deeply harmful violation of my dignity, humanity, and constitutional rights as a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Dlamini, Mac G only extended an apology after facing public pressure and realizing the potential damage the incident could have on his reputation and career.<\/p>\n

Last week EFF MP, Sihle Lonzi, slammed Deputy Minister of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities Mampaseka Letsike\u2019s for his request for the podcaster, to be summoned to Parliament as grandstanding and populism.<\/p>\n

Lonzi argued that issues of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) often receive attention based on how well-connected the individuals involved are, while equally pressing concerns are overlooked by ordinary citizens.<\/p>\n

Mac G’s\u00a0apology appears to have missed the mark, not only for Dlamini but for others as well.<\/p>\n

I don’t have anything personal against many people who do the wrong things because I know they usually don’t even have the red pill (like MacG) . But… I am proud of Minnie Dlamini for seeing through a particular veil here and going ahead with the legal action. It’s necessary.<\/p>\n
