Pressure continues to mount for pay-channel’s Moja Love<\/em> to bring back its drug-busting show, Sizokuthola.<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Put South Africa First Movement has now threatened to boycott the channel should it fail to bring back the popular programme that’s hosted by Xolani Khumalo.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Earlier this week, the movement along with United Patriotic Front, held a picket outside Moja Love<\/em> studios in Rosebank demanding that the show be brought back immediately.<\/div>\n

The programme was canned following the death of Robert Varrie, an alleged drug dealer who died after the crew’s visit to his house in Katlehong last month.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Police are investigating the alleged drug dealer’s passing.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Picket organiser and Put South Africa First’s National Chairperson, Faith Mabusela, says they believe the show’s suspension was unjust and unwarranted.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Mabusela says while the channel’s legal representative and spokesperson met with them in order to hear their demands, they did not give them any sense of direction as to when the programme and its host would be brought back.<\/div>\n

She says the channel was supposed to protect Khumalo and his crew instead of suspending them.<\/div>\n

    Put South Africa First Movement says Khumalo did what government has dismally failed to do in order to protect the youth against drugs, which affect every household in the country.<\/p>\n

    Mabusela says they are planning a national shutdown and march to the Union Buildings on the 15th of September against drug trafficking.<\/p>\n

    She says government needs to tackle drug trafficking with the same sense of urgency it did with the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/div>\n

      While efforts to get Moja Love<\/em>‘s response to the call was unsuccessful, the last statement the channel released last month, stated that it is also investigating the circumstances surrounding Varrie\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

      The TV Channel maintains that its crew was with law enforcement officials during the raid that preceded Vallerie\u2019s death and did everything in accordance with the law.<\/p>\n

      \u201cWe will wait for the official autopsy results for cause of death.
