After a weekend giant slaying and major upsets in the Nedbank Cup Last 16, the quarterfinal draw was conducted on Monday evening in Johannesburg.
The final eight will be headlined by a KwaZulu-Natal derby between Lamontville Golden Arrows and Durban City.
With the traditional big clubs Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns already eliminated, this year’s competition provides a rare opportunity for some silverware for several clubs.
AmaZulu will be favourites to progress against second-tier Casric Stars. However the visitors will be no pushovers after knocking out Orlando Pirates in the previous round – and notably, they have yet to concede a goal in this year’s competition.
Sekhukhune United, meanwhile, will have a rare home game in the competition where they will face second tier log leaders Milford FC.
TS Galaxy are the only former champions remaining in the tournament this year after their 2019 success and will take on ABC Motsepe League’s Jacksa Spears in the quarterfinals.
The draw produced several exciting matchups:
AmaZulu vs Casric Stars
Sekhukhune United vs Milford
TS Galaxy vs Jacksa Spears
Lamontville Golden Arrows vs Durban City
The quarterfinal matches are scheduled to take place over the weekend of 07 and 08 March 2026. Full fixture details, including venues and kick-off times, will be confirmed in due course.
