Limpopo rapper Lehlohonolo Chauke, popularly known as Shebeshxt’s questionable behaviour has come under the spotlight once again.
A video of him brandishing a knife in what seems to be him attacking someone has been making the rounds on social media.
Responding to backlash, his lawyers claim the incident was part of a staged skit.
According to his lawyer, the clip is an old video filmed with a producer friend during the shooting of a music video. The lawyer further asserted that the knife was not real and that the scene was scripted for entertainment purposes.
However, the explanation has not gone down well with many of Shebeshxt’s supporters, some of whom argue that this is not the first time the rapper has displayed problematic behaviour.
They say the same energy that people had towards Scotts Maphuma should be the same for the rapper.
This is not the first time that the rapper finds himself in hot water.
In 2022 Shebeshxt was charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo.
He also faces two counts of discharging a firearm after he fired shots in the air at a family home in Ga-Mamaola village Limpopo.
Lekompo is a rebel. Someone who has no manners & does what they want when they want. The outrage of trying to cancel Shebeshxt is funny because his fans are aware that Makompo behave in that way regardless of how wrong it is😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/uU6xrobZqR

In June last year, rapper Shebeshxt was involved in a tragic car accident that claimed the life of his 9-year-old daughter and left him seriously injured.
The accident occurred when the vehicle he was driving collided with a truck and overturned. Chauke lost his foot in the crash.
It is believed that he, his daughter, and his girlfriend were en route to a performance at an ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration in Lebowakgomo at the time of the incident.
