Community members in Fleurhof say they are living in fear following the discovery of the body of an 11-year-old boy at residential complex.
Jayden-Lee Meek was allegedly dropped off by his school transport, entered the complex but never made it home.

A frantic search for the young led to the gruesome discovery of his badly bruised and naked body, near his home, the next morning.

Residents are concerned that Meek’s killer may still be living among them and are calling on police to expedite the investigation.
A group of community members say they will not rest until the person responsible for this gruesome incident is brought to book.
One resident says it’s painful to see that such a young child can be killed in this manner at a place where he is supposed to feel safe and calls home.
The mothers in the area say they are frustrated and scared for their children.
“We can’t trust the people in the complex, our neighbours.”

Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says an inquest docket has been opened.
He says the inquest could possibly be changed into a murder case amid investigations.
“This is a case that we take very seriously and we believe if we are given the chance, we will get to the bottom of this.
“Once we have enough evidence that the child was murdered, we will change the case to murder.”
