TS Galaxy coach, Adnan Beganovic, has backed star defender Khulumani Ndamane to make the Bafana Bafana squad for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to be held in Morocco in December.
Ndamane was solid as South Africa beat Rwanda 3–0 to secure qualification for next year’s FIFA World Cup.
Bafana Bafana are in Group B alongside Angola, Egypt, and Zimbabwe.
With coach Hugo Broos set to name his final squad soon, Beganovic says Ndamane’s performances for The Rockets have earned him a fighting chance.
“He needs to be in that AFCON squad because he has the quality. I was so happy to hear that Hugo Broos is not afraid to give young players the opportunity to play at the international level.” he said.
Ndamane himself has also promised to work his way to Morocco.
“About the final team (for the Africa Cup of Nations later this year), that depends on the coach and mine is to keep pushing the way I have been doing, because that’s how the coach saw me in the first place, pushing for TS Galaxy,” he said.
