Netball South Africa President Cecilia Molokwane has been unable to place where she could have contracted Covid-19.

On Tuesday 24 March, Netball South Africa announced in a statement that Molokwane had tested positive after her work travels between the United Kingdom and Scotland, earlier this month.

In an interview on YSports, Molokwane revealed that she had travelled to the UK with Netball SA CEO Blanche de la Guerre and was in close contact with her during the trip. de la Guerre has however tested negative for the virus.

“I’m even more confused now to say where did I pick up this virus” said Molokwane.

Molokwane added that she is not displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 and is feeling as “normal as ever”.

The netball president has since urged South Africans to practice good hygiene to curb the spread of the global pandemic.
