The Best Drive team sat down with Fezile Dhlamini, Founder and CEO of Scooter RSA to discuss his Eco Scooter.

South Africans have always known scooters to be small vehicles that are used to zoot around town or deliver food and other goods. Scooter RSA has tried to change the way society thinks about scooters by introducing Africa’s first electric scooter. The scooter, which looks something like a Tuk Tuk, is available in two forms: one which is a cargo scooter made for the purpose of deliveries and another scooter which is designed to be a passenger vehicle. The electric scooter can drive up to 85kms with a single charge and weighs about 250kgs. Scooter RSA CEO, Fezile Dhlamini, said he hopes this kind of scooter will encourage South Africans to support electric vehicles.
