Venue change for YFM’s #Y21!

Promising to be an epic, not to be missed, celebration, YFM’s #Y21 birthday event will now be taking place at Casalinga, Muldersdrift!

On Saturday 27 October 2018, YFM celebrates its 21st birthday, which is headlined by Telkom and media partnered by Channel O, at Casalinga, (just off Beyers Naude Drive), Muldersdrift. The event will be an epic journey, showcasing YFM’s past radio legends, as well as the station’s current talent, who continue to shape the South African music scene and fearlessly represent the youth.

“Due to concerns raised around the zoning rights of The Canvas, Riversands in Fourways and its ability to host entertainment events, we have taken a decision to change the venue to a more suitable location that is able to cater to the needs of YFM, its partners and event-goers. Casalinga in Muldersdrift, the revised venue, is a beautiful setting that will enhance the #Y21 experience. YFM management and the eventing team are confident the change of venue will not negatively impact the event and we look forward to hosting everyone at Casalinga in Muldersdrift,” says YFM Managing Director, Haseena Cassim.

Due to the change of venue and for the convenience of event-goers, YFM will be providing a free bus shuttle service from Riversands Incubation Hub to Casalinga. Event goers need only show their event ticket to gain access onto the free shuttle. Busses will run from 09:30am at Riversands and the last bus will leave Casalinga at 00:30 to head back to Riversands.

YFM still promises an epic 21st birthday party celebration this Saturday. Fans can STILL expect an experiential event coupled with phenomenal music from the station’s current and past on-air talent.

For the very first time, YFM’s YTKODJ’s, Da Kruk, DJ Zan-D, DJ Zai Maya, DJ Candii and Lebza the Villain,fused with a live band,will come together for a magical performance that aims to do nothing less than thrill their fans.

An impressive and unforgettable selection ofYFM alumni acts such as DJ Speedsta, Oskido, DJ Fresh, DJ Sbu, Mac G, Ms Cosmo, Mo Flava, Shimza, C-Live and DJ Jawz will be stirring up some nostalgia.

Further firing up the all-star line-up are these explosive acts: Riky Rick, AKA, Kwesta, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty-C, Lady Zamar, Boom Shaka, Mafikizolo, Sho Madjozi, MFR Souls and Team Mosha.

The MCs for the event are YFM’s weekday presenters, DJ Ankletap, Khutso Theledi, Nia Brown, DJ Sabby and Carissa Cupido, as well as station DJs, Just Mo, Josi Chave, DJ Zero, Mellotik, Da Capo and MFR Souls.
